This brush will last you YEARS, I've had mine for over 5 years and it still looks new (you can wash them easily as long as dry out well).  The bristles are secure in the rubber pad and do not fall out easily at all. When/if in future it does lose any, at least I know I can simply put it's pieces in the compost bin and not have sharp plastic spikes dragging on my scalp.
